While no one knows for sure what happens to us in the afterlife, we all have different rituals
we perform when someone passes away. These rituals are vastly unique but all of them exist for similar purposes:
to honor the life of the deceased and to comfort the surviving.
However, due to the difficult subject matter of death, these rituals often end up being
a reflection of the institution performing them as opposed to being a representation of the departed.
It is here we see room for improvement.
